About me - EquineCura
Welcome,
Hello, My name is Eveline, and my practice is dedicated to recovery and freedom of movement for horses. I am the founder of EquineCura in Averbode.
For years, I have been guiding horses in their rehabilitation and development, with attention to both the physical body and the emotional aspects that often influence their well‑being and performance. My work always begins with observation, calmness, and an individual approach, ensuring that each horse receives exactly the support it needs at that moment.
If you have any questions or are unsure whether I can help your horse, feel free to reach out. I’m happy to think along with you and help you assess what your horse needs right now.
How does it work?
Are you curious about what a treatment looks like? Let me gently take you along in how I work with your horse.
Seeing and understanding
Every session begins in quietness. I take a moment to simply watch your horse, in movement and in stillness. I observe posture, the way the body carries itself, subtle tension, and the overall expression. In those first moments, the body already tells a story about how it is functioning right now.
Feeling and listening through touch
Then I let my hands follow the body, softly and without hurry. I feel where tension is held, where mobility is limited, or where something doesn’t move as freely as it could. Your horse’s response to touch is just as important. It helps me understand even more clearly where support is needed.
A treatment shaped by the moment
From what I’ve seen and felt, I choose gentle techniques that suit your horse at that exact moment. This may include mobilizations, fascial work, or soft muscle release. There is no fixed protocol, each session is created anew, fully tailored to your horse’s needs.
Fine-tuning with essential oils
When it feels helpful, I use essential oils as an additional way to listen. They offer subtle feedback that helps refine what the body is communicating, allowing me to tune in even more precisely.
Returning to movement
At the end, I let your horse move again. This is where we see the effect of the treatment — in softness, in ease, in expression. If something still asks for attention, I continue working until it feels complete.
A few things to know
Every treatment is unique, shaped entirely around your horse. I don’t work with time pressure, but with presence and follow‑through. That’s why the price is per session rather than per hour, so I can take the time needed to truly listen to what the body tells me.
A Planned trajectory for trauma and professional horses
This trajectory is designed for horses with deep‑rooted trauma, where tension, past experiences or physical overload affect their movement, behaviour or performance. I don’t work with single, isolated sessions, but with a personal, ongoing process in which I guide the horse step by step towards more calm, stability and resilience in training and sport. The focus is on lasting progress, not on quick fixes.
How do we begin?
I always start with a thorough observation of the horse, both in rest and in movement. I look at:
-
Movement patterns and symmetry – where the body flows and where it compensates
-
Tension and compensations – areas that hold, protect or avoid movement
-
Responses to pressure and load – how the body reacts when it is asked to carry or respond
-
Overall availability in the body – how present, open and free the horse feels
From there, I build a trajectory that I continuously adjust according to what the horse needs at each moment.
What makes these journeys unique?
Instead of trying to solve everything at once, we build slowly and consciously. Each session brings new information, and I use that to shape the next step.
This keeps the process clear and manageable for the horse and creates true, sustainable change rather than temporary improvement.
You receive insight, not just treatment
You gain a deeper understanding of what is happening in your horse and why. I also teach you to recognise signals yourself, so you are not dependent on a single moment or one‑time solution.
I don’t work on your horse, I work with you and your horse. You know your horse best.
I help you see what is happening in the body and how we can gently improve it together.
